To prevent risks to your website by sub-admin accounts, this Magento 2 extension helps you able to limit access by store view or category or website. This mean that users who has restricted permissions cannot take any actions to areas out of their role scopes and these role scopes is defined by store view or category or website.
Extended Permissions Manage extension for Magento 2 also allowed sub-admin users to see data that is available for their roles in Dashboard and customers that is from the available websites for their role.
1. Benefits & Features
Magento 2 Extended Permissions Manage helps you determine what sub-admins can see and work in their role.
This Magento 2 extension allows you to show all customers from the website of all your stores or the allowed store only to sub-admin users with restricted permissions. If you want to grant them see customers from the website of all stores, set Show All Customers to “Yes” in the configuration.
You can configure to show products with/without categories to sub-admin users by using Extended Permissions Manage for Magento 2. If you want that sub-admin users are not able to see products that don’t have any category assigned and only you can see such products, set Show products without categories to “No”.
Besides, Extended Permissions Manage extension for Magento 2 helps you prevent from deleting products, images, categories by sub-admin users.
This extension for Magento 2 also allows you to configure hiding content with “All Store Views” scope and (not) allowing to update global attributes to sub-admin users.
2. Extended Permissions Manage: Access
Using Magento 2 Extended Permissions Manage, when adding a new user role, in the panel on the left, you can see Extended Permissions Manage: Access section. Choosing this section, you can choose to limit sun-admin users with restricted permissions to accessing by store view or website. With this, you can allow or restrict their actions in specific scope such as editing products, editing categories, managing customers in selected store view/category or website.
3. Extended Permissions Manage: Settings
With Extended Permissions Manage extension for Magento 2, one more section in the panel when add a new user role is Role-Specific Settings.
In here, you can use the configuration settings for new role. If you don’t want to use those, you can unmark the check box of Use Config Settings in the fields that you want to change and set those fields to your need.
4. Display Sub-Admin User Role
By using Magento 2 Extended Permissions Manage extension, Category Manager is given access to managing categories for instance. So that, when logging in to work on the website, the category manager is only allowed to work with what is associated with category including creating a new category and configuring content settings, display settings, Search Engineer Optimization, Products in Category and design settings.
5. Settings under Sub-Admin User Role
Under Category Manager Role, Extended Permissions Manage for Magento 2 allows Category Manager to configuring settings that relate to Category. So that Category Manager cannot edit others such as system settings.
Thus, using Magento 2 Extended Permissions Mange, you don’t worry that other Admin users change or edit all your store’s configurations. Those users only edit settings that you grant.
6. Show Products without Categories
With Magento 2 Extended Permissions Manage extension, you can allow to show products with/without Categories. For example, you allow to show products without Categories. All products will be shown in the gird. In this grid, a record is a product. And there is no “category” column in the grid.
Besides, if you configure hiding content with “All Store Views” scope, users with restricted permission cannot see “All Store Views” option when choosing store view in the upper-right corner.
7. Display when actions of sub-admin users are not allowed.
By using Magento 2 Extended Permissions Manage, if any users with restricted permission try to access to areas that they are restricted, those areas will be inactive. In addition, this Magento 2 extension also prevent users with restricted permission from viewing, editing or deleting products, categories, and so on that are out of their role scopes.
For example, a Product manager is not allowed to update global attributes. If they try to update that, it will be display “Access denied” page.
